The bee sponsorship
The sponsors support the probably most important living creature on our planet. A sponsorship promotes the biodiversity and supports the bees. Through the sponsorship, the beekeeper is co-financed so that he can survive economically. In Switzerland, this is not possible only through the sale of honey. And the most important fact at the end: Sponsors have their own honey.
Question and answer
The sponsor pays a fixed price per colony, which corresponds to a lump sum of CHF 2,000 per year. The whole honey yield per colony belongs to the sponsor. This is usually between 10 - 20 kilos per colony per year. A two-hour bee workshop is included in this price.
The pollination service per colony is estimated to be worth CHF 1'500.-. Through the pollination of the bees, the cherry trees, for example, bear up to 60% more fruit. The price for the bee sponsorship is made up of various components. Included in the price is a bee workshop of CHF 290.-. Depending on the year, the yield of honey varies between CHF 600.- and CHF 900.-. It also includes equipment, honey-potting, queen rearing and bee pollination.
As a beekeeper, I have taken various further training courses, all of which benefit the bees, whether in the medial, spiritual or in the vegetal area. From the already almost obligatory formic acid in the Varroa treatment I have abstainedall my life. Through my training as an official assistant beekeeper and primary production bees, I got a look behind the curtain. The biggest and most important work with the bees starts in our heart/frequency area. This applies to the healing of the bees as well as the healing of the human being.
Usually a sponsorship starts in spring (April/May) and ends after the honey harvest in autumn (August). If there are enough colonies, a sponsorship can be made at any time.
Included in the price is a workshop which takes about 2 hours. Here, you will learn more about the bees, how I combine different elements of electro culture, mandalas and other knowledge. Protective suits are available.
There is a possibility to print your own labels, these costs are at the expense of the sponsor. The cost of the design and printing is approximately CHF 390.–.
The apiary is located at Hügelstrasse 1 in Gsteig near Gstaad on myproperty. You have free access to your bee colony at any time.
For customers in the Saanenland / Pays-d'Enhaut I set up their own apiary on the sponsor’s premises starting from 5 bee colonies, if the terrain and the surroundings allow it.
It is possible that, in a very bad year, there is no honey. This has happened twice in the last 50 years. Therefore, the probability is very low. Again, the welfare of the bees is above the yield.
It goes without saying that we have prepared everything for this scenario.I always have reserve colonies, so that a swarmed or weak colony can be replaced. In this case, you get the average yield per year. This is usually between 10 & 25 kg of honey.
The sponsorship is valid as soon as the amount has been paid. Unless otherwise agreed, the sponsorship is also valid for the following years. A termination of the sponsorship is possible at any time in writing. The invoice for the following years will be issued on May 1st.
